El gerente de COFEMA, tendrá que pagar dos días de arresto y una multa por el valor de cinco salarios mínimos vigentes al negarse entregar información solicitada por la contraloría departamental.
Así lo dio a conocer Cesar Omar Rodríguez Pérez, director técnico de control fiscal de la Contraloría Departamental, con funciones de contralor, Quien manifestó que desde el pasado 19 de enero esta entidad solicito al hoy sancionado representante de COFEMA contestar un cuestionario de 19 preguntas con sus respectivos soportes sobre presunta contaminación en fuente hídrica específicamente la quebrada la muchilero como acción de respuesta a la veeduría ciudadana interpuesta por la fundación Florencia Renace para la Amazonia quien interpuso la denuncia ante esta entidad, cabe resaltar que en la denuncia también habría sido involucrada la alcaldía de Florencia, y la empresa SERVAF quienes de manera oportuna y a su turno entregaron la información requerida, sin embargo Milton Chávez gerente de COFEMA, se negó a aportar los requerimientos del ente de control aludiendo que dicha entidad no es sujeta de control por parte de la contraloría departamental, acto que habría quedado desmentido con el fallo de desacato por parte del juzgado 4to penal municipal quien cobijo con dos días de arresto y el pago de cinco salarios mínimos por no presentar de manera oportuna la información requerida.
